Triz w/ Ernie Haase & Signature Sound
The highlight of our Michigan weekend short getaway the other weekend was to see Ernie Haase & Signature Sound Quartet in Concert. If you are a lover of Southern Gospel Music, you pretty well know who Ernie Haase and his group are. The husband and I are gospel music lover and so does Triz. What can you say- she is our little disciple as well!
So when the chance for us to see the group live, I dare took the opportunity to go. Triz is a huge fan of Ernie Haase, the quartet creator and the Tenor and she is so familiar with almost ALL songs that Ernie Haase and the quartet sings. It is what is stored in her iPod and it is what we listen to most of the times.
It was surreal for her to be seeing the group in person and as I was excited myself to see them perform in front of me, I was most excited for my own daughter who I could imagine would be having a blast.
Oh… I can never forget that time when my darling daughter was so enthused!

The venue
Arriving at the Howard Performing Arts Center on the campus of Andrews University on the evening of March 10th, my 5-year-old daughter already got so amazed seeing the crowd and the posters of the artists. For me, it was Triz’s time all the way!
I let her stood beside the giant poster of Ernie Haase and took a photo of her:

Can you see the delight on her face?
Yes, she was ecstatic! I was like, “What more if she gets to see Ernie Haase sing on stage? And what more if she gets to meet Ernie Haase and shakes hands with him?”
Well, when the concert started, I guessed it, my daughter had a blast!

Just one of the many photos I have captured of them on stage
As much as she finds the whole time awesome, she loved all the songs as well. She got to join in the singing and really enjoyed the entire almost three hours of Gospel songs. And yes, Triz was the youngest kid in the crowd!
During the 15-minute-break, the band went into the lobby to sell their materials and offered photoshoots with whoever wanted to, and because I wanted Triz to meet and greet Ernie Haase, I had her and the dad stood in the long line and when it was her turn, it was like the moment stopped because Ernie Haase opened his arms to welcome Triz, the littlest audience he could find. All the people surrounding them were clapping and oh, it was such a wonderful experience for my daughter! They talked for a while and Ernie Haase was so amazed at how knowledgeable Triz was with anything he asked her! Lol. I told the guy that I want a picture of them two and I was able to capture this:

Indeed, a memorable experience for my dearest daughter who loves Gospel music and singing for God’s glory! I sure hope that we will still have a time to go to a concert like this. I’m sure it will be wonderful as well!
I was able to take a few videos of them singing and one of them is this:
