Hurricane Season

Today, I am having goosebumps and teary eyes as I am glued to the TV watching the coverage of Hurricane Irma lashing the entire State of Florida. It is so heartbreaking to see how monstrous the storm is. It left a whole lot of destructions in the islands of the Caribbean and it is scary to imagine the havoc it will cause to Floridians.

I have friends in Florida and I can only pray for their safety.

Hurricane season is not welcomed although it really is here. Just a couple weeks ago, Hurricane Harvey devastated the east coast of Texas. When it slammed Houston, our sky here in Keene which is about 300 miles northwest of Houston is only a little dark. We didn’t get rain and just a little wind gust, so our friends and family who asked how we are doing are relieved to know that we are unaffected. We are relieved as well.

As the hurricane season is upon us, may we all stay safe and sheltered and may we all rise above the storm. Let’s all remember that things on this earth pass by, including storms. It’s up to us to recover and move on.
