I am such a cheapskate! I bought my husband a new set of leather case for his iPad 4 from eBay. It only cost me $9.99 for this bundle: Smart Cover Slim PU Leather Case Wake Sleep Stand + Film + 2 Stylus Pen + Screen Protector + Cleaning cloth. My husband was so impressed with my shopping ability! Lol.

I have been wanting to replace his iPad’s cover because it is so heavy. He chose the cover with the keyboard in it from Apple when he ordered it via the university but I disliked the toy because of its weight. So I had to ask him to replace its case to make it hand-friendly. I asked him what’s his color preference and he and Triz opted for green. So fresh, I think!

It is the cheap kind of a smart cover leather case but it still looks good and protects the toy well.

His reason for choosing green: to make it easier to find it when he needs to. Which makes sense. And yes, I love this purchase that I did for the iPad. Even if the littlest user, 9-month-old-Tiara has to do her own thing on this toy, it still is protected enough.

My daughter Triz is soon to become a 2nd Grader. Right now, in her Music class, she always reports to be that she is enjoying it every session. This kiddo is into music a lot that she sometimes asks me if she could have her own music studio here at home. She wants many of those musical instruments and a microphone of her own that can make her compose and sing songs and record them. I am looking at this yeti microphone from musicians friend and all I can think is my daughter’s wish.

She has a brand new computer in her own room which we got her for 2nd Grade as we are going to homeschool her again and I am thinking that a yeti mic will be a great prop for her. I’ll see if the budget permits. I am sure she will be thrilled to receive one on her 7th birthday in July.

With this thingy in my kitchen, it feels like I am just home in Philippines. I fry fish and my sauce now has Kalamansi in it and my husband loves it a lot! I also squeeze at least three of them for my fruit smoothies and because of some plea from friends, I am saving their seeds and will send them for planting. I’ll see first if the ones we planted here will sprout. If they will, I will send the seeds right away to three friends who would want them!

There is nothing like having this typical Pinoy goodies in your kitchen when you’re thousands of miles away from your Pinas home.

Thanks to Sam’s Club membership, I get to buy them online in bulk and are being delivered to my doorstep for free. We could drive to Sam’s Club store when we really need to but it saves us gas if I’ll just get them online. The store is 30 minutes from where we live so it isn’t worth driving there for just this purchase.

I often tell my daughter, even if she is only 9 months old, that she is very lucky to be using the most expensive brand of diaper. Same thing with our firstborn before. How many times have I suggested to the husband to try other brands and after we did so, it always ends up to a conclusion that Pampers is still his most preferred brand for his kiddos. I can’t blame him. And even if they don’t come in cheap, he is willing to suffer paying  the monthly expenses for these stuff to his daughter’s comfort.

I sent out a set of postcards to friends who requested some and to other friends who I know would be delighted to receive some. They were the postcards I got from our recent Madison Wisconsin escapade. I bought them though but I am thinking of making my own since I have good captures of the Capitol Square. There is a cheap postcard printing at printingamerica.com and I am recommending it to everybody, especially to a friend of mine who has just started making her own postcards as her hobby. She lives in Florida and for being an aspiring photographer, she really gives justice to the nice views she takes photos of. I am sure she will find this link beneficial.

She has once asked for a scooter during the peak of winter but I told her to wait till summer. Now that the snow around us are slowly disappearing, she seems to have forgotten about it because she never reminded me anymore. I am sure she will be surprised with this when this gets in our doorstep.

As the access to the warmer days is getting closer, she has already planned out in her mind the endless amounts of outdoor activities that she’ll be partaking in from now through the end of summer. This scooter features a basket to hold whatever trinkets and toys, and streamers that will billow in the wind as the user glide down the street. I hope it will be a warm sunny day when this purchase of mine arrives so that Triz can instantly play with it!

I had to try it right away because of its effective description of its yumminess! Lol. Sure enough, it became my fave that I had to find it at my frequented grocery store so I can stock on them here at home! Next to belVita, I love the Colgate Optic products. Why not when they’re too useful not to mention that my brand for oral hygiene stuff is Colgate. I have yet to try the Vaseline, the Dickinson’s, and the nectresse though so I can’t say anything about them yet.
